1. Who We Are

FocusBlinders ("we", "us", "our") is a macOS productivity application. You can contact us at privacy@focusblinders.com.

2. What Information We Collect

On the waitlist (this website):

• Your email address, when you voluntarily submit the "Notify me" form
• The date and time of submission

In the macOS app (when released):

• Active window titles and app names — processed locally on your device only
• Browser tab URLs — processed locally on your device only
• Your task description — stored locally on your device only
• Session activity log — stored in memory, cleared when you end the session
• Webcam facial feature data (optional, Phase 4 experiment only) — processed locally, never recorded or transmitted

We do not collect: screenshots, keystrokes, passwords, file contents, or any data transmitted over your network.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Email address: to notify you when FocusBlinders launches, and to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• App activity data: used only in real time to evaluate focus relevance. It is never transmitted off your device.

4. How We Store Your Information

Waitlist emails are stored in a Google Sheet accessible only to FocusBlinders team members. We use Google's infrastructure which is protected under Google's own security and privacy policies.

App data never leaves your device. All processing — including the local LLM inference — runs entirely on your Mac. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google Sheets — stores waitlist email addresses. Google Privacy Policy
• Vercel — hosts this website. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, page visited) may be retained by Vercel per their policy. Vercel Privacy Policy
• Ollama (in-app, optional) — runs the local LLM on your device. Ollama does not transmit data externally when running locally.

We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or sell data to any third party.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your email from our waitlist
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for EU/UK residents)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@focusblinders.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

FocusBlinders is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted their email, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify waitlist members by email.
